This shrine was heartily supported by Hideyoshi Toyotomi, the lord of Nagahama Castle, and has the main god of Nagahama City. With a history of one thousand years, it is a shrine sacred to the sprit of Yoshiie Minamoto, which is also enshrined in Kyoto Iwashimizu Hachimangu. The Nagahama Festival is held as a spring feast in April.
