Take-shima Island
Hikone City
It is an uninhabited island about 600 meters around. It is called Take-shima(Various Scenery Island) because the island shows various kind of shadow when we look at every angle. The island itself has been a prized holy place as a Shinto shrine. Whole island is a ground of Kento-ji Temple.
In the north side, there is a Daimokuiwa Rock and it is said that was covered with fresh blood in Sakurada-mongai Incident. (we have the tourist ships for Take-shima from the Hikone harbor.)
